La Conner Maritime Solar is the first PowerShingle project built in Washington State. It’s an innovative ground-mounted solar installation that also offers a watertight roof structure, capitalizing on both the substantial tax credits of an American-made solar structure while also providing clear dry space below. This product is ideal for anyone looking for a roof only structure who would like to cut their power bill, generate future revenue, and secure energy code credits.
PowerShingle found a new application at La Conner Maritime, a premier full service boatyard in La Conner, Washington. PowerShingle was able to act as a canopy, providing a vital role in their ecological protection plan through stormwater management. Boats being prepared for service are able to park in the dry space which contains potential contaminants from being washed away by rain before being moved into indoor service bays, while still letting through natural light. At the same time, the Powershingle is constantly providing free solar power to offset their service shop’s consumption.
